Delete your Splynk account

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (recommended)

The fastest way to delete your account is directly in the Splynk app:

1. Open the Splynk app on your iOS or Android device.
2. Sign in if you are not already signed in.
3. Tap your Profile tab.
4. Open Settings (gear icon, top right).
5. Scroll to Account and tap Delete account.
6. Confirm the deletion. Your account is removed immediately.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you no longer have access to the app, email us from the email address associated with your Splynk account. Include the subject line Delete Account and your registered email or phone number in the body.

We respond within 30 days. You may be asked to verify ownership of the account.

What happens to your data

Deleted:

• Profile (name, photo, bio, date of birth)
• Email, phone number, authentication identifiers
• Posts, photos, and videos you uploaded
• Chat messages you sent
• Pickups, leagues, and classes you created or joined
• Saved preferences and settings
• Location history
• Device tokens used for push notifications

Retained (limited):

• Anonymised, aggregated analytics that cannot identify you
• Records required by law (e.g. tax, fraud prevention, dispute records)
• Encrypted backups, which are automatically purged within 90 days
• Audit logs of the deletion request itself

Timeline

• Immediately: your account becomes inaccessible and is unlinked from public content.
• Within 30 days: personal data is removed from active production systems.
• Within 90 days: personal data is purged from encrypted backups.

Frequently asked questions

Will my chat messages be removed from other people’s devices?

Messages you sent will be removed from Splynk’s servers, but copies that other users have already received on their devices may remain visible to them.
